Hi,

I’m similar to you in that I’m learning Tai Chi so as to control my emotions and become a better person.  I’ve also a history of drug abuse, so I’m hoping that tai chi will help me to relax (which it does) and harmonise my mind and body.

My tai chi teacher has been doing it for 20 years and he leads by example - his life is a reflection of the art.

I hope mine is by the time I’m his age.

Thanks

Joe

Cheng Man Ching, has had such an impact on my life.
I took up T’ai Chi around 15 years ago, out of interest and to help me control my tempare.
I have grown as the art has inside me, and have been priveliged to have been taught by teachers and Masters with a true understanding of professors Cheng’s skills.
I was made redundant 3 years ago(same day my first son was born), and now my life has taken a new path, as i now try to help others to gain from the art as i have; and inreturn they help me to understand both the art and myself in more depth.
I am only 35 and have a long way to go, but feel thanks to the work of Cheng Man Ching each step I take is heading in a direction that will lead me along my Dao

In my journey to learn this great art I have had to invest in loss many times and still am learning to “invest in lost” as Master Chen would say. I have a Linage that leads straight to Him. When I first started out I was learning Chen style from a fellow player and one day I visited a yang style class and have been a advocate ever since. My first yang instructor who taught me this style Beverly Keller learned from Master instructor Waysun Liao who also was taught by Master Chen. My foundation is in temple style training which to many may seem long and tedious but this has held fast for me. My second Teacher of the yang style was GrandMaster Hsu Fun Yuen who still teaches today. I now learn under Frank Nava and Ray Bemis two of Master Hsu students and excellent instructors. I would not trade it now for anything. I have strayed away several times but the chi keeps calling me back it has given me health beyond my wildest dreams and I will continue for my life time to practice this grand ultimate meditation and martial application.

Excellent.
The beauty of thinking, teaching, and presenting are extremely impressive. The integration of eastern philosophy and western technology into a beautiful website is a reflection of human intelligence.
Congratulation.

This new release of Cheng man ch’ing’s T’ai Chi is a truely extraordinary and wonderful thing.  As a long-time practictioner this feels like an oasis in the desert!  Thanks to everyone involved and I hope to see more one day.
